FOR SALE:  1982 Marshall Sanderling, Liberty.  
​On the Chesapeake her entire life, having been purchased new, hull #544, from Marshall Marine at the Annapolis Sailboat Show.  She has been well cared for and is in good shape.  She’ll convey “as is”, with a 2017 Tohatsu, 6 hp outboard engine/low hours/non-ethanol gas only, no trailer.  Additional features include self-contained toilet, installed; Awl-Grip painted mast (non-hinged), gaff, and boom; teak cabin-top handrails and cabin eyebrow; teak trim on cockpit seats, combing rail, and cockpit portion of centerboard trunk; teak interior shelves over berths and cap of interior centerboard trunk; recent foam mattresses for berths (2), covered in Sunbrella - color “toast.”  Dacron sail with Sunbrella (color “toast”) sail cover (needs restitching at the mast); full set of lazy jacks; 4” compass with cover installed in the cockpit bulkhead; bronze cleats for bow, stern and spring lines; flag halyard; bronze step on transom and folding bronze step on rudder.

Offering now, while there remains good sailing on the Bay this fall.  Reason for selling: plures naves quam mentes (“more boats than brains”)!

 This is a very solid sweet sailing Marshall Sandpiper.

From the same molds as Com-Pac Sun Cat. Marconi rig with hinged mast, sail area165 sq.ft., 20’ LOA, 15’LWL Beam 8’ Draft 2’. Special keel model (no center board with OEM bowsprit and small roller furling jib. Mast height approx.28'. Boom length: 14' 6". Hulls pray painted and deckrolled/brushed. New tinted Lexan portlights. New batteries, new batteryswitch, new custom circuit panel ,new navigation, anchor and steaming lights. New automatic bilge pump, new Guppy(Whale) manual bilge pump (accessible from cockpit). Raymarine ST1000 Tiller Pilot. Recent standing rigging, new running rigging, all teak recently oiled, new bottom paint. Bronze through-hulls, Danforth anchors fore and aft. Trailer has never been in the water. Appropriate vintage 2.5HP Nissan Outboard. Original sails. I am the 2nd owner. More than $6,000 spent on restoration.
